Contract type: Permanent full time 40 hours (5 out of 7 days, including weekend). No late nights (latest finish 7pm). Part Time roles are also available.

Starting Salary: Up to £25,600 dependent upon skills and experience

Sedbergh School, in the heart of Yorkshire Dales, and Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School, are looking for kitchen staff to add to their existing hard working teams.

Our award winning Senior School has been at the centre of Sedbergh town since 1525 and continues to thrive, making job security an absolute certainty. Our Prep School is based in Casterton, a short commute from Kirkby Lonsdale.

We now offer a free bus service to work for our staff as well as free meals for our dedicated catering teams.

We offer family friendly working hours, ideal for experienced Chefs who want to take a step back from the demanding pressures and late nights of restaurant kitchens.

We also offer apprenticeships for those with a passion for cooking who want to earn while you learn. Our supportive chefs, many of whom have been through catering apprenticeships, are always on hand to give support and advice.

The majority of our kitchen staff work no more than 8 weekend evenings per year. We ensure that all staff have a two week break across the Christmas period. At Sedbergh School, we believe a work – life balance is one of the most important aspects for our hard working staff.
